We opened the tent to a sea view and dry skies. We had our first dehydrated breakfast – porridge with raspberries – delicious with a cup of tea overlooking the Isle of Pladda.

Todays route was 55 miles with 3500ft of climbing and one ferry. We stopped at a golf course on the north western coast of Arran for cake and coffee before catching the ferry from Lochranza to the Kintyre peninsular.

Arran – 10 miles to the ferry, with Kintyre in the background.
Waiting for the ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig on Kintyre
Claonaig, getting ready to get back on our bikes.
From sea level the only way is up!!
Tarbert for lunch
Sea views near Dunmore
enjoying the perfect roads π

Our first glimpse of Jura
Our pitch!! Coulaghailtro
Dinner on the beach
We couldn’t quite believe this view!!
Today was possibly my favourite of the whole trip, the Kintyre peninsula was just spectacular, the roads were extremely quiet and this pitch was just unbelievable!
