The weather was pretty bad again the following day so after breakfast and a lazy start we toured around Lewis in a land-rover instead of our bikes. We visited the western part of Lewis, the Calanais Standing Stones, the Carloway Broch, the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village and Bosta Beach.

The roads of most of the Outer Hebrides are single track with passing places, this picture is typical of the roads we cycled on during the trip.
